Adware-SaveNow

Adware-SaveNow was first spotted on February 10, 2005 by Network Associates Inc. Research shows that adware-savenow is adware. SaveNow keeps a logfile of URLs visited, search terms, and some other information stored in a coded file on the hard disk of the affected computer. SaveNow sends the logfile plus information about what software installed SaveNow, the ID of the advertisment being shown, and the search term or URL that caused the advertisement to popup everytime a popup is created. SaveNow has been known to frequently cause crashes and loss of internet in many systems. A Microsoft support article referring to SaveNow is available online here.
