PerMedia was first spotted on June 7, 2006. Research shows that permedia is adware. PerMedia creates popup advertisements. PerMedia can record your web-surfing habits and send that data to its controlling servers. Yes. Can download and install arbitrary code both as an update feature and to load third-party software. PerMedia can be installed by ActiveX drive-by download. It spreads like a virus; on install, it opens the Outlook address book (if it exists) on the computer and sends an email to every email address in the address book. The emails include a link to an "e-card", which can only be used if the accompanying ActiveX control is installed.Owner - Permissioned Media. PerMedia uses 258,136 bytes.
