IMeshIMesh was first spotted on June 7, 2006. Research shows that imesh is adware. iMesh itself does contain advertising. It comes with a pre-defined list of search terms that are associated with advertisers. Any time you search for one of those terms, the advertiser´s image will open in a pop-up window.iMesh also installs other spyware and adware applications, including GAIN, Cydoor, Hotbar, eZula TopText, New.Net, CommonName, SideStep, NetPal, FavoriteMan, VX2, FlashTrack and BonziBuddy. iMesh, as a file sharing program, is running a server on your computer which gives other people access to files. It´s not clear if iMesh is safe, and if iMesh properly prevents hackers from accessing files that are not explicitly shared. iMesh can cause browser crashes particularly after form submissions.
